I had the pleasure of photographing the incredible dishes created by Chef Shei Mei at Lenox Sophia, a modern-American restaurant in South Boston. Featured in Boston Magazine, this shoot allowed me to capture not only the artistry behind each dish but also the vibrant and sophisticated atmosphere of the restaurant. Chef Shei Mei’s unique culinary vision shines through in every plate, combining fresh, local ingredients with creative techniques. From beautifully plated appetizers to decadent entrees, these images showcase the true essence of modern American cuisine. It was a delight to both photograph and enjoy such exceptional food in the heart of South Boston.
I had the opportunity to photograph the new Blue Ribbon Sushi in Kenmore Square for Boston Magazine. This exciting addition to Boston’s dining scene blends traditional sushi with modern twists, creating a vibrant and inviting atmosphere. The shoot focused on capturing the artistry behind the beautifully prepared sushi dishes, the stylish restaurant interiors, and the dynamic ambiance of Blue Ribbon Sushi. These images highlight the restaurant’s unique offerings and its commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience in the heart of Kenmore Square.
In October, my team and I had the exciting opportunity to create eight stop-motion videos for SAPJACK in collaboration with Tiny Bully Agency. We crafted both five-second and twelve-second videos showcasing delicious recipes, from brainstorming concepts to final recipe development. The process was both creative and technical, as we meticulously worked frame by frame to bring these videos to life. One fun fact: the full video consisted of 181 individual frames, while our longest recipe, maple pork tenderloin, included a total of 258 frames.
